Hand painting on celluloid applied to a hand painted master background, depicting the iconic dog "Droopy" in a Western outfit and a "damsel in distress" standing opposite the "Wolf" as a cowboy with a gun, signed on the bottom by legendary American animator Tex Avery. A caption on the bottom left hand side of the cel reads, "AN ORIGINAL FROM THE M.G.M. CARTOON 'HOMESTEADER DROOPY' STARRING 'DROOPY.'" Measuring approx. 12.5 x 10 in. visible through 19 x 16.5 in matte and frame. Exhibiting minor production use and handling and expected aging. Unexamined out of the frame. In vintage very good to fine condition.
