Quint Machete Prop from The Orca in Jaws

Universal, 1975. Hero machete prop featuring a heavy steel blade slotted into a 6 in. wooden handle grip with three rivet bolts. Expertly studio distressed and finished with oxidized weathering and stained wood for the appearance of age and sea-weathering. Used by "Quint" (Shaw) in intense scenes aboard the "Orca" including when used for cutting the yellow barrel ropes when the shark threatens to pull the small boat under and when Quint stabs at the shark's face while being mauled and eaten. The 20.25 x 2.5 in. prop remains in production used very good condition.
