Pistol Set from Pirates On Stranger Tides

Disney, 2011. Screen used pair of Queen Anne silver-mounted flintlock pistols with silver inlaid wooden grips and ornate embossed metal plates featuring grotesque faces attached to the butts. Jaw retains leather and flint. The barrels feature engraved designs with "Birmingham" on one side, and "R.Willoughby" on the opposite. Stamping on undersides reads, "1 /1 / P / WR / V" and "2 / 2 / P / WR / V", revealing the pair are originally minted as a complete dueling set. Accompanied by an antique gun case which contains 1-gun powder flask, 1-metal musket ball mold, 1-two chambered powder and lead doser with the stamping "POUDRE" and "PLOME," 7-musket balls, and many other antique items. A thin slip of paper remains within the box and reads, "M. Samuel Vernon to..." (illegible). The interior is lined with thick green wool fabric. Highly visible, signature pieces, but can most clearly be seen when "Jack Sparrow" (Johnny Depp) abandons "Angelica" (Penelope Cruz) on a remote island, and throws his pistol onto the sand near her head before saying, "one pistol, one shot." She then uses the gun to fire upon him, missing. These guns are also seen on promotional materials, and are accompanied by 2-posters and 1-DVD which display the pistols. Case measures 16 x 9 x 2.5 in. Exhibiting expected age and wear. In vintage very good to fine condition.
