Animation Cel from the Pilot of The Simpsons

Original 2-cel set up with pasteup elements for background. From the historical first episode of the long running, profoundly influential animated TV series. Featuring "Homer" and "Bart" in Santa suit and hat. The lead cel features the characters, the second cel is the hand painted background with squares of colored construction paper tipped to the background. Some of Homer's body has adhered to the second cel, not affecting the appearance of the set up. Retaining registration punches at the bottom and one staple in the lower left corner. This cel was gifted to CEO of Prometheus Entertainment, Kevin Burns, by The Simpsons creator, Matt Groening. Measuring 10.25 x 12.5 in. Exhibiting minor age and production handling. A historical piece from the groundbreaking series. In vintage very good to fine condition.
