Vintage multi-compartment makeup compact purse with 9.5 in. braided carrying chain handle. The gold metal case features a square inlaid mother of pearl hinged lid that latches at the front. The interior features compartments, some hinge-lidded for powder, blush space, lipstick space and room for other implements. A mirror panel divides front and back compartments. The compact measures 5.25 x 3 x .75 in. From the personal collection of Marilyn Monroe and gifted to her confidante Angela Alexandra during a planned move away from her Brentwood home before her unfortunate passing. Exhibiting normal wear and age. In very good condition.
