A vibrant portrait of the iconic Monroe accomplished in acrylics on 16 x 19.5 stretched canvas visible through 23 x 27 in. wooden white-lacquered frame. Based on a photographic portrait of Monroe, the painting is characteristic of Giokaris's easy style and ability to establish a striking likeness with an economy of brush strokes, as evidenced in much of her costume design work. Signed in the lower right of art, "Giokaris." Exhibiting minor age and handling. In very good to fine condition.
