This photo is from October 11, 1975, opening night for the 75-76 season, showing Darryl Sittler at the ceremonial puck drop with Stan Mikita. Ontario Lieutenant Governor Pauline McGibbon is dropping the puck with Leafs owner Harold Ballard looking on. The Leafs won the game 2-1 with Sittler scoring the first goal of the season just before the end of the first period while short handed, 19 minutes after this photo was taken.
