Bill Barilko Signed 1950-1 Contract

The legendary Bill Barilko who was immortalized by the Canadian rock group ‘The Tragically Hip’ with the song ’50 Mission Cap’ about the mysterious disappearance of the hero of the Leafs 1951 Stanley Cup victory. Bill Barilko scored in overtime in Game 5 to give the Leafs a fourth Stanley Cup in five years. Great things were expected of this budding star. This 1950-51 contract is the last one Bill Barilko signed – an authentic and most valuable collector’s item, especially since it has Bill Barilko’s autograph. Interesting that after 4 years in the league, there is still a minor league clause. Also signed by President Clarence Campbell and witnessed by teammate Danny Lewicki.
