Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) - Thor (Chris Hemsworth) Smashed Hammer

Thor’s (Chris Hemsworth) smashed Mjolnir hammer from Taika Waititi's sci-fi action sequel Thor: Love and Thunder. In Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Hela (Cate Blanchett) destroys Thor’s hammer and its remnants are put in a glass case on New Asgard. In a last-ditch effort to cure her cancer, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) travels to New Asgard, and when she approaches the hammer in the display case, a palpable energy hums in the air which creates a rumble and sparks with each step that she takes. Mjolnir has been waiting for Jane, and this unison results in Jane being “worthy” and is granted the powers of a god. The head of the hammer is cracked into the shape of a grooved triangle that features uneven cracking patterns. The hammer is painted silver with cracking and a striped gray and brown handle designed to resemble leather, and a brown leatherette strap. It is distinctly smaller than Mjolnirs intended for Thor, and leatherette was used as Portman is a vegan and refuses to work with products made from animal hides.
