Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) wants to do his part and join America's armed forces, but the military rejects him because of his small stature. Finally, Steve gets his chance when he is accepted into an experimental program that turns him into a super soldier called Captain America. Joining forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), Captain America leads the fight against the Nazi-backed HYDRA organization. Chris Evans wielded this original stunt USO shield prop in his role as "Steve Rogers / Captain America”. Crafted from rubber, the shield features faux leather straps on the back for secure arm fastening. Its weight and high-quality construction suggest it was likely employed as a rigid stunt prop for specific scenes. This particular shield makes an appearance during Captain America's on-stage performances as "The Star-Spangled Man," showcasing the iconic stars and stripes synonymous with Captain America's costume. Additionally, Captain America utilizes this style of shield in intense battles against Red Skull (Hugo Weaving) and the forces of Hydra.
