The Dark Knight (2008) - Original Heath Ledger Production Photograph

An original print of a photograph taken by set photographer Stephen Vaughan depicting the Joker (Heath Ledger) from Christopher Nolan’s 2008 superhero film The Dark Knight. The story follows Batman (Christian Bale) as he teams up with District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) and Lieutenant James Gordon (Gary Oldman) to dismantle organized crime in Gotham City. However, their efforts are disrupted by the chaotic and unpredictable Joker, who seeks to create anarchy and bring down Batman. The image features the Joker in his signature clown makeup removing a clown mask from the beginning of the movie when he and his clown gang rob Gotham National Bank. The mask that the Joker is removing is a slight nod to Cesar Romero’s Joker from the 1960s Batman TV series. The image featured the word “revealed” in the bottom left corner; “The Dark Knight” in the center and Stephen Vaughan’s signature in the bottom right corner. This piece measures 22" x 17"The image remains in great condition and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Studio Auctions.
