The Dark Knight (2008) - Original Production Photograph

An original photo taken by set photographer Stephen Vaughan of the truck stunt from Christopher Nolan’s 2008 superhero film The Dark Knight. The story follows Batman (Christian Bale) as he teams up with District Attorney Harvey Dent ( Aaron Eckhart) and Lieutenant James Gordon (Gary Oldman) to dismantle organized crime in Gotham City. However, their efforts are disrupted by the chaotic and unpredictable Joker, who seeks to create anarchy and bring down Batman. The image depicts the tractor-trailer truck that was driven by the Joker, actor Heath Ledger vertically in the air as a result of Batman tying it up with this Bat Pod. The scene takes place in the middle of a Gotham City street at night. Stephen Vaughan’s signature is at the bottom righthand corner of the image and “the truck” is featured in the bottom left hand corner of the image. This piece measures 22" x 17". The image remains in great condition and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Studio Auctions.
