Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) - Original Hogwarts Invitation Envelope Set

Two invitation envelopes used in the film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Adaptation of the first of J.K. Rowling's popular children's novels about Harry Potter, a boy who learns on his eleventh birthday that he is the orphaned son of two powerful wizards and possesses unique magical powers of his own. He is summoned from his life as an unwanted child to become a student at Hogwarts, an English boarding school for wizards. There, he meets several friends who become his closest allies and help him discover the truth about his parents' mysterious deaths. Owl post inundated the Dursley household with letters informing Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) of his acceptance into Hogwarts – despite Uncle Vernon’s (Richard Griffiths) best efforts. The envelope is made from marble-effect paper, with Harry’s address printed in green on the front of the envelope, and the Hogwarts crest on the reverse. Envelopes such as this have printed seals on the back in order to keep the prop envelopes light so they would fly around the room. In good condition and measuring 7" x 5" (17.7cm x 12.7cm).
