Kelly Miller was drafted by the New York Rangers in 1982, 9th round, 183rd overall after a solid freshman year with Michigan State.  The young forward represented the U.S. at the 1982 and 1983 World Junior Championships and was named to the CCHA first all-star team after scoring 50 points as captain of the Spartans in 1984-85.  Miller played with the New York Rangers until 1986-87 season, when he was traded mid-year to the Washington Capitals.  His creativity on offense and his willingness to stay with his man and backcheck helped the club reach the Stanley semi-finals in 1990 and the final in 1998.  He was also the club’s NHLPA representative and served as interim team captain twice.  He played fifteen seasons in the NHL, 1,057 games, scoring 181 goals and 282 assists. This Miller Washington Capitals Mesh jersey was worn in pre season action in the mid to late eighties.  A couple stains to mention and no fight strap with a Maska Air-Knit tag in the collar with size 52 marked in pen. CCM tagging in the hem with Miller on a name plate affixed to the back.
