Danny Kaye, 1970, Danny Kaye. Vintage customized white porcelain tile featuring a metallic silver, gold, and black image of Danny Kaye wearing Biblical garb with his signature beneath. Back of tile is lined in vivid green felt, 1-original cardboard shipping package with inset tile inside and the post sticker addressed to “Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Logan." There is also a smaller white card with handwritten, “For a hot pot and a cool yule! Sylvia and Danny Kaye" in red ink. Joshua Lockwood Logan III was an American theatre and film director, playwright and screenwriter, and actor. He shared a Pulitzer Prize for co-writing the musical South Pacific and was involved in writing other musicals. Logan's wife Nedda Harrigan was a leading force in establishing the Stage Door Canteen, which produced plays for servicemen, and she led tours of plays to Europe to entertain troops. Two by Two is a 1970 musical comedy by Richard Rodgers and Martin Charnin, inspired by the biblical story of Noah's Ark. Tiles measuring 6 x 6 in. Exhibiting age and handling.
