Henry Fonda Inscribed and Signed Card to Danny Kaye for Jean Hersholt Award.

Danny Kaye, 1980s, Danny Kaye. Circa 1980s. Personal Fonda notecard showcasing a vibrant reproduction of Henry Fonda's painting of the three hats worn as “Norman Thayer Jr.," in the Academy Award-winning film On Golden Pond. Handwritten on the interior in black ink is, in part: “Dear Danny, This is a short note to congratulate you on the special Oscar you are being presented. I am happy and proud for you. All my love, Hank." Fonda met co-star Katharine Hepburn for the first time on day one of production. To commemorate the moment, Hepburn presented him with a fedora that once belonged to her late beloved husband, Spencer Tracy. Fonda included the fedora in his painting, which he later gifted to Hepburn in return. In 1982, Kaye was awarded the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Measuring approx. 7 x 3.75 in. In vintage very good to fine condition.
