Original E-11 BlasTech Standard Imperial Sidearm constructed from an authentic British-made Sterling L2A3 submachine gun equipped with Sherman Tank gunsight. The weapon's combination of style and function has contributed to its lasting popularity among fans, symbolizing the might of the Galactic Empire. Its long barrel generated a tightly focused and highly powerful particle beam, with a maximum range of three hundred meters and an optimal range of one hundred meters. As a result, it was particularly well-suited for close-quarters combat, especially in the cramped spaces of enemy installations and starship corridors. During the rescue of Princess Leia, the E-11 blaster is prominently featured being wielded by Imperial Stormtroopers as well as various main characters, including "Princess Leia" (Carrie Fisher), "Han Solo" (Harrison Ford), and "Luke Skywalker" (Mark Hamill). The blasters are used in the ensuing firefight as they make their way through the Death Star corridors, showcasing the weapon's rapid-fire capability and versatility in close combat. These scenes highlight the intensity of the situation as they try to escape with Leia, emphasizing the threat posed by the Imperial forces. To enhance the actors' performances and provide rotoscoping artists with a timing reference for animating blaster bolts, the E-11 rifle props used in the original trilogy were fully functional firearms loaded with blank cartridges. This approach created realistic firing effects, leading to visible 9mm casings ejecting from the props in several scenes of A New Hope, particularly during the attack on the Death Star's detention level. A similar detail can also be spotted in a close-up of Lando firing in The Empire Strikes Back. Extremely heavy, static piece, the scope retains sight marks, and measures approx. 19.5 x 8.5 x 4.75 in. Exhibiting production wear and handling. In vintage very good condition. Accompanied by COA.
