The Five Pennies, 1959, Paramount Pictures. A set of (2) vintage original inset posters for the 1959 Danny Kaye-starring film, The Five Pennies, a musical drama about “Red Nichols" (Kaye), a talented cornet player who rises to fame in the 1920s but leaves the music business after his daughter contracts polio. Years later, with the encouragement of his family, Red makes a triumphant return to music, culminating in a heartwarming reunion with old friends and a moving performance with his daughter. Measuring approx. 36 x 14 in. each. Exhibiting expected age, handling, minimal wear along the edges, retaining original transmittal folds, and some archival numbering and handwriting on the verso, with colors remaining vivid and vibrant.
