Danny Kaye, 1950s, Danny Kaye. Vintage novelty metal social security card featuring multicolor American flags and “U.S. SOCIAL SECURITY / 129-12-6938 / DANNY KAYE" on the front. Displayed in a black vinyl wallet with 2-colorless plastic windows and blank “Personal Identification" paper card. Metal Social Security cards are collectible items that were never officially issued by the Social Security Administration. They were created as commemorative keepsakes in the mid-to-late 20th century, but have no legal value, making them an interesting piece of vintage memorabilia for collectors.
