Danny Kaye, 1981, Dodgers. Adirondack Model 302F wooden baseball bat with printed blue logo and lettering along the barrel, engraved, “DANNY KAYE" in block lettering toward the end between the words, “Big Stick / Flame Treated." Affixed with four tiny screws is a 3 x 2.25 metallic plate with black lettering that reads, “Los Angeles Dodgers / 1981 / World Champions / Defeated New York Yankees / 4 Games to 2 Games." Danny Kaye's affiliation with the Dodgers dates back to their Brooklyn days, he was a lifelong fan of the team and the sport, and on April 15, 1981, Kaye conducted the world's largest marching band at Dodger Stadium wearing a Dodgers jersey.
