Despite some controversy over a 15-year old girl being featured in what many deemed a fairly suggestive circumstance, the ad campaign was phenomenally successful. It kept Shields at the forefront of the public's consciousness and propelled Calvin Klein's brand into the stratosphere with ever-sexier ads that pushed the envelope of social expectation and acceptance.
