Production used prop constructed of cast resin with depressible keyboard buttons, 1-removable blue acrylic "crystal" panel, which reveals a hollow interior with electrical wiring, accompanied by battery powered little black box with printed labels with typed, "ANCIENT PHASE DEVICE / YES / NO / MAIN POWER," toggle switch, red buttons, and long power cord that plugs into the back of the device. Arthur's Mantle is a piece of advanced technology associated with the legendary King Arthur. This artifact is essentially a high-tech cloak or mantle that grants the wearer invisibility. The device works by bending light around the user, making them effectively invisible to the naked eye. The mantle is a product of the Ancients, who were also known as the Alterans, and was used by King Arthur in his battles against the Goa'uld. The mantle is featured prominently in Season 9, Episode 10: "Camelot." The mantle's ability to provide invisibility aligns with the series' theme of blending ancient mythologies with advanced alien technologies, adding depth and intrigue to the Stargate universe.
