Marilyn Monroe Monogrammed 3 Piece Luggage Set

1950s-1960s.Vintage Starline brand (3) piece train luggage set. Consisting of matching pieces including 1-large 29 x 17 x 9 in. suitcase, 1-medium 24 x 15 x 7.5 in. suitcase, and 1-smaller 14 x 8 x 9 in. vanity case with gold leaf "MM" monogrammed. Constructed of wooden paneling covered in textured plastic coated green vinyl. Interiors lined with (the vanity) green faux suede and (suitcases) buff sateen pockets and lining. With gold metal hardware, latches, and matching molded green plastic handles. While only the vanity bears the "MM" monogram, all pieces retain the brass raised "Starline" logo. Large suitcase retains a ball chain and plastic luggage tag. From the personal collection of Marilyn Monroe and gifted to her confidante Angela Alexandra during a planned move away from her Brentwood home before her unfortunate passing. Exhibiting age and use.
