H.E.FRAG Grenade Prop from Avatar

Avatar, 2009, 20th Century Studios .Original live action fragmentation grenade prop used in the production of the groundbreaking James Cameron film. This prop represents a handheld fragmentary explosive device issued to RDA soldiers. Constructed of cast resin and multimedia components with white transfer lettering, the hand prop features a flip-up top covering the fuse/trigger. These practical props were used by soldiers in their attack on the fictional universe of Pandora. Props like this one are highly visible being used by "Jake Sully" (Sam Worthington) to take down the Valkyrie craft in the assault on the holy Tree of Souls. Expertly studio distressed to appear as if it's seen some action with scuffs and scrapes to the body. These practical props were a feature of the live action elements of the film, which relied on an average of 60% CGI imagery. In production used good to very good condition.
