The Mandalorian, 2019-2024, Lucasfilm .Production used collection of (4) currency props including 1-round gold resin New Republic credit, 1-teardrop-shaped silver resin New Republic credit, 1-triangular silver resin New Republic credit, and 1-rectangular silver resin Imperial credit. In the Star Wars universe, Imperial credits and New Republic credits represent different currency systems. Imperial credits, used during the Galactic Empire, were often viewed with suspicion and fluctuated in value, especially as the Empire fell. In contrast, the New Republic introduced a more stable currency to promote economic recovery and unify former Imperial territories, symbolizing the political shift away from the Empire's oppressive regime.
