Armageddon, 1998, Touchstone .Production used prop constructed of bright red cardstock with printed, "DBDEGGTZ" in black. The idea of a "secondary protocol" in the movie comes from a real NASA fail-safe. When NASA launches a shuttle, one person is always near a killswitch button, which is essentially a "self destruct button". Director Michael Bay was inspired by NASA's redundancy and backup systems. He noted that NASA would never send shuttles into space without the ability to remotely detonate nuclear bombs. Measuring 6.5 x 3.25 in. Exhibiting production wear and original folds. In very good condition.
