Waterworld, 1995, Universal .Production made set of (2) dystopian style pants constructed with long grommeted panels laced together with thin twisted strings. 1-pair features leather strips and panels of brown knit netting, 1-features canvas strips and incomplete lacing. In the film, the costumes played a crucial role in creating the movie's unique post-apocalyptic aesthetic. Designed by costume designer Jean Simmons, the outfits were inspired by a mix of nautical, survivalist, and scavenger themes.
