The poker scene in the 2006 Casino Royale is a tense, high-stakes battle, central to the plot, where “Bond" (Daniel Craig) uses his psychological skills to outmaneuver “Le Chiffre" (Mads Mikkelsen) in a serious, dramatic setting. In contrast, the 1967 version of Casino Royale is a comedic spoof, and the poker game is played for laughs, while the 2006 film portrays poker realistically, as a critical element of Bond's character development.
