Danny Kaye, 1940s, Danny Kaye. Vintage original black and white photograph of Danny Kaye with Eleanor Roosevelt, Dore Schary, Melvyn Douglas, and Frank Sinatra. Danny Kaye supported progressive causes, was closely linked to political figures during the charged era of the Red Scare, and later served as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador from 1954 until his death in 1987, using his celebrity to raise global awareness for children's rights and well-being. Displayed in a brown frame with decorative gilt borders and vellum-lined backing. Measuring approx. 15.5 x 13 in. Exhibiting expected age and handling, with a tape mark at top right hand corner not affecting the image, and minor soiling at back of frame. In vintage very good to fine condition.
