Danny Kaye Personally Owned Poster for Up in Arms.

Danny Kaye, 1944, RKO. Vintage 1-sheet poster for the 1951 re-release of the Danny Kaye-starring musical film Up in Arms. Danny Kaye portrays “Danny Weems," a hypochondriac elevator operator in a New York medical building, who is drafted into the army, where his best friend Joe joins to look out for him. After smuggling his love interest Mary aboard a ship to the South Pacific, Danny is imprisoned, but after being captured by a Japanese patrol, he deceives them into surrendering, becoming an unexpected hero. Ink stamps on the verso read, “Up In Arms 44/63". Measuring approx. 27 x 40 in. Exhibiting expected age, handling, some curling along edges, with minor separation around some transmittal folds not affecting the image, which remains colorful and brilliant.
