Danny Kaye, 1940s-1970s, Danny Kaye. Vintage set of (9) armed forces themed items including 2-gold-plated cufflinks with a blue background, each with the medical corps caduceus symbol at center and “U.S. Naval Hospital" and “Yokosuka Japan" in gold lettering, with “Guarding the Health of the Fleet" printed at bottom of each link across a white banner. Each measuring approx. 1 in., and stored in a textured Amita Jewelry blue marbled box measuring approx. 3.5 x 1.5 in. Also included are 6-silver metal military lighters, 1-etched “Crossroads Service Club" with the blue triangle “Army US Service Clubs" logo affixed to center, 1-with “U.S.S. Hancock" yellow triangle ship logo at center and a drawing of ship on the verso with “U.S.S. Hancock" (CVA-19) in black lettering, 1-with “Lear Jet" lettering below white plane logo at center, 1-with black jet silhouette affixed at center, with black and yellow “Cotton Pickers" eagle emblem affixed on verso, 1-with “CTF 77" blue and white globe and laurel logo at center and the signature, “J.R. Reedy" engraved at top, with two stars and “Commander Attack Carrier Striking Force 7th Fleet" engraved on verso, and 1-“Fleet Tactical Support / U.S. Pacific Fleet VR-21 DET Japan" logo affixed to center. Also included is 1-approx. 4.25 x 2 in. metallic gold plaque engraved with, “F104 STARFIGHTER / Presented to Danny Kaye / MACH 2 PILOT PASSENGER / EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE / 16 November 1962 / U.S.A.F. PILOT MAJ. WALTER F. DANIEL." Lighters are stored in 1-red and 1-gold decorative drawstring pouches. Lighters measuring from 2.25 x 1.5 to 2 x 2 in., with mechanicals present but untested. Exhibiting expected age and minor handling. In vintage very good condition. From the personal collection of Danny and Sylvia Fine Kaye.
